About Everyday Tools

Hi there! I'm Aurangzeb Abbas, a computer science student with a genuine interest in building practical things that solve real problems for everyday internet users.

As I navigated the internet over the years, I noticed a frustrating trend. Simple tools—like a basic tip calculator or a word counter—were becoming increasingly bloated. They were packed with intrusive pop-ups, slow-loading assets, and required you to hand over your personal data just to do a basic calculation.

I decided to change that. I built Everyday Tools as a passion project to provide a clean, fast, and completely free alternative. Every tool on this site—from the BMI Calculator to the Password Generator—was built with one idea in mind: give you the answer as fast as possible, without wasting your time.

My Mission

My goal is straightforward: to give you the utilities you need without the hassle. Whether you are splitting a bill at a restaurant, trying to figure out a discount during a sale, calculating your loan EMI before taking out a mortgage, or generating a secure password for a new account—these tools are built to give you instant, reliable answers.

Why Use This Site?

  • 100% Client-Side Processing: All calculations happen right in your browser. No data is sent to a server, and no inputs are stored anywhere. Your privacy is guaranteed by design, not just by policy.
  • Built for Speed: No heavy frameworks or unnecessary scripts slowing you down. Just clean, lean code written by someone who studies software optimization.
  • No Strings Attached: No accounts to create, no email lists to subscribe to. Just bookmark the tools you find useful and come back whenever you need them.
  • Always Free: Every single tool on this site is free to use, forever. There are no paid tiers or feature locks.

Building this site has been an incredible learning experience on my computer science journey. It lets me apply what I study in a real-world context—optimizing algorithms, building accessible user interfaces, and improving the web performance of something real people actually use.

If you find these tools helpful, I would love to hear from you. Head over to the Contact page to suggest a new tool, report a bug, or just say hello!
